Privacy Policy
1. Controller
The controller responsible for data processing on this website within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR / DSGVO) is:
Binder Spedition + Logistik GmbH
Am Lunedeich 169
27572 Bremerhaven
Deutschland
Telefon: +49 471 97291-0
E-Mail: moinbinderteam@bindergroup.com
The controller is the natural or legal person who alone or jointly with others determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data (e.g. names, email addresses or similar).
2. General information on data processing
We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection provisions as well as this privacy policy. Personal data is any data by which you can be personally identified. This privacy policy explains what data we collect, what we use it for and what rights you have.
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this website uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the browser's address line changes from “http://” to “https://”.
3. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by an external service provider (hosting provider). When you access the website, the hosting provider automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser transmits automatically. These are: browser type and version, the operating system used, the referrer URL, the time of the server request and the IP address.
This data is not merged with other data sources. The collection of this data is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimisation of our website – for this purpose the server log files must be collected.
4. Fonts (locally hosted)
To ensure a consistent presentation, this website uses fonts that are installed locally on our server. No connection to third-party servers (e.g. Google Fonts) takes place in this process; no data is transmitted to third parties.
5. Cookies and consent
This website uses technically necessary storage technologies (e.g. local storage) to save your cookie settings. These are required for the operation of the website and do not require consent (§ 25(2) of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act, TDDDG).
We use non-essential cookies and tracking technologies (e.g. for analysis or marketing purposes) exclusively if you have expressly given your consent via our cookie banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG). You can withdraw or change your consent at any time with effect for the future: simply click the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer of every page — the cookie banner will reopen and you can adjust your selection. If you decline non-essential cookies, the website remains fully usable.
6. Contact and enquiry form
If you send us an enquiry via the contact or enquiry form, the details you provide in the form (name, email address, telephone number if applicable, company and information about your enquiry), including the contact details you provide there, are stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in case of follow-up questions.
The processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, provided that your enquiry relates to the initiation or performance of a contract, and otherwise on the basis of our legitimate interest in the effective handling of the enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The data you enter in the form remains with us until you request its deletion or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g. after your enquiry has been fully processed). Mandatory statutory retention periods remain unaffected.
For internal notification of new enquiries, we send an email to our sales team via the email service provider Resend (Resend, Inc., 2261 Market Street #5039, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA). In this process, the data you provide in the form is transmitted to Resend and processed there exclusively for the purpose of sending the email. The transfer to the USA takes place on the basis of the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR). The legal basis for the processing is Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR (effective handling of your enquiry).
7. Container booking enquiries
Via our booking page, you can submit enquiries for container transports. We process the data provided there (route, cargo, company and contact details) to handle your booking enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Insofar as this is necessary to carry out the booking, we transmit the details required for the booking to the shipping line involved (e.g. Maersk) as an independent controller. No further disclosure to third parties takes place.
8. Job applications
You can apply to us via the application form on our careers page. In doing so, we process the data you provide (name, email address, phone number where given, preferred area, message) as well as your uploaded CV exclusively for the purpose of conducting the application process. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR in conjunction with Section 26 of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).
The application form includes a short job-related task. Your answers and the number of attempts are transmitted to us together with your application, become part of your application documents and are taken into account in the selection decision. The legal basis is likewise Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR in conjunction with Section 26 BDSG; the same deletion periods apply to this data as to the rest of your application data.
Your CV is stored in access-protected cloud storage that only the persons involved in the application process can access. To notify our team internally of new applications, we send an email (including your CV as an attachment) via the dispatch service provider Resend (Resend, Inc., 2261 Market Street #5039, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA); the transfer to the USA is based on the EU Commission's standard contractual clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR).
Your application data will be deleted no later than six months after conclusion of the application process, unless you have consented to longer storage (e.g. for our applicant pool) or statutory retention obligations apply. If an employment relationship is established, we transfer the data to your personnel file.
9. Google Analytics 4 (only with consent, where used)
Only if we actively use Google Analytics and you have consented via our cookie banner does this website use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies that enable an analysis of the use of the website (e.g. pages visited, time spent, the device used, approximate region of origin). As a rule, the IP address is not stored by Google Analytics 4 and is processed only in truncated form.
The legal basis is exclusively your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG). Without consent, no Google script is loaded and no data is transmitted to Google; the same applies as long as the service is not actively enabled on our website. In addition, we use Google Consent Mode, which denies storage by default. When using Google services, personal data may be transferred to the USA; Google is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, and the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission apply in addition (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future (see the section “Cookies and consent”).
10. Google Ads conversion tracking (only with consent, where used)
Only if we actively use Google Ads conversion tracking and you have consented do we use this service provided by Google Ireland Limited. In this process, after you click on a Google ad placed by us, a cookie is set that allows us to understand whether certain actions on our website (e.g. submitting the enquiry form or clicking on our telephone number) result from the ad. In doing so, we do not receive any information by which we could personally identify you.
The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG). Without consent, no conversion tracking takes place; the same applies as long as the service is not actively enabled on our website. The statements made under “Google Analytics 4” apply accordingly to the possible transfer of data to the USA. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future (via “Cookie Settings” in the footer).
11. Your rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
Access, rectification and erasure
Within the framework of the applicable statutory provisions, you have the right at any time to obtain free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients and the purpose of the data processing (Art. 15 GDPR), as well as a right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR) or erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) of this data.
Restriction of processing and data portability
You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data (Art. 18 GDPR), as well as the right to receive data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in performance of a contract in a common, machine-readable format (Art. 20 GDPR).
Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR)
Insofar as the processing is based on Art. 6(1)(e) or (f) GDPR, you have the right at any time to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of your personal data.
Withdrawal of your consent
Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can withdraw consent already given at any time. The lawfulness of the data processing carried out up to the point of withdrawal remains unaffected by the withdrawal.
Right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority
In the event of breaches of the GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is: Die Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit der Freien Hansestadt Bremen, Arndtstraße 1, 27570 Bremerhaven, www.datenschutz.bremen.de.
12. Currency of this privacy policy
This privacy policy is currently valid (as of July 2026). As our website develops further or due to changed statutory requirements, it may become necessary to amend this privacy policy.
